INFANTS ART CLASS
AGES 4-9 / EVERY SATURDAY / 1HR 30 MINS
ART LESSONS FOR
YOUNG KIDS IN ENFIELD
Our infant art classes every Saturday in Enfield introduce children aged 4-9 to the foundations of art through a fun, experimental, interactive and creative curriculum that helps them develop monetary skills and a booming imagination. Our Saturday school classes are half the size of those found in state schools meaning we can give extra attention to our students development. Each term we have a new creative curriculum that keeps things fresh and at the end of each term we celebrate our students work with an exhibition where family & friends are invited.
THE CREATIVE CURRICULUM FOR
Taught by art teachers and professionals, our popular children's weekend classes.
LEARNING THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ART THROUGH FUN ACTIVITIES
Applying a range of materials creatively to design and make products
Using drawing, painting and sculpture to develop and share their ideas, experiences and imagination
Developing a wide range of art and design techniques in using colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space
Children will be working on their motor skills using a variety of materials e.g pencil, graphite, oil pastels, chalks, felt tips, and acrylic markers. They will learn the fundamentals of art through observational drawing, focusing on line shape, tone, texture and mark making.
Children will be taught to understand the colour wheel and colour mixing theory. From using various mediums such as water colours to acrylics, children will learn the basics of brushwork and look at replicating the style and techniques of famous artists such as Van Gough.
Looking at form, shape, and experimentation through the use of recycled materials such as cardboard, mud rock and paper mache. Children will have the opportunity to have fun, make and create sculptures such as vase's, Greek pots and aboriginal masks.
We proudly host monthly resident guest artist sessions, featuring talented and accomplished artists from various disciplines. These artists come to our school to share their experiences, show their work, and lead activities in their specialism to the class. They engage with our students, inspiring them to think creatively and explore new ideas.
